Blog #6

1. Practice the universal Loving Kindness (meditation) exercise on p. 93.

This exercise made me feel great I thinking of others and helping others out. It does calm you epically when you have had too much of a certain person lets you realize there are millions of others who need and would be thankful for your Loving-Kindness.

2. Complete the Integral Assessment discussed in chapter 11 (p.115).

It is very interesting to try and asses yourself there might be a little bias there from me anyway on what I need to work on or don’t need much work on.

3. Describe the exercise and assessment process. What did you discover about yourself? What area have you chosen to be a focus of growth and development? Why? What are some specific exercises or activities that you can implement to foster greater wellness in this area?

Focus your full attention on the four quadrants of the integral map. Depending on your own personal life pick one to focus on this may take days. Aim for a specific level of development you want choose. Also what levels need healing journal writing may help ease this task. I believe I need to concentrate on the psycho spiritual aspect of my life. Phychospiritual is of or pertaining to the relationship between spirituality and the mind. I feel this way because I have not been in touch with this part of me in catholic school in the eighth grade and that is where I left it and it is an essential part of health and wellness. To promote growth in this area I can pray for myself as well as others. I could also meditate on it as well.
