Meditation was by far the best one I felt helped me with mind and body techniques. I felt that it helped me clear my mind within and made me realize that I can control feelings. Getting in touch with my inner spirit was the greatest thing because I felt like I calmed myself for the better as well. The loving kindness was exciting as well. Knowing what aspects go into my life and what love really means makes me thing and realize many things as well. These things foster mental fitness by expanding the mind to in a sense to levels. To me it was like climbing a mountain and trying to get to the top of it mentally with all these techniques. Myself I just say keep going and stay fit mentally and physically.
Pom Wonderful 100% Juice is simply amazing! I feel this is one of the best juices around. Tons of antioxidants, potassium, and flavor packed into a cup of this juice. They also have POM Tea's which are very full of flavor and bold tea taste, which tea is supposed to taste like. The blackberry tea is a great choice. I think POM is doing a awesome job of promoting and getting the word out about this potent drink and health benefits. POM has also come out with POM X Bars and POM Shots. I will try these at some time and write on them. One other thing, POM Fresh Pomegranates, OMG!!! they are pure BLISS!!! the season for them is October through February. They are big, juicy, and a spoonful bursts with flavor.

1. Meditating has not been on the top of my list this week. I haven't been feeling pretty depressed and have been having trouble focusing. I guess this is when I need to do it the most. When I did the exercise the day before yesterday I felt better afterward, like a feeling of peace had come over. I felt God knock on my heart and say, "stay strong, you can do this". It was comforting because I was feeling really low. I slept better that night too which, is a challenge for me most nights. Along with track #4 which also helped greatly I have been having very tough time with my family my finances my sudo- boyfriend. The techniques do work its just calming me enough to do them I am flustered need more focus. I guess I just need to keep at it like life you get lemons make lemonade. I just get in these poor me syndrome moods which make it difficult, but that lets me know that is something I need to work on for me and only me. How can you help others if ya can’t help yourself right?
2. The way I see it is the saying means that you can't help someone with something unless you have gotten help for it yourself or you can't guide someone on a path that you haven't walked on yourself. It is like having a guide that doesn't know where they are going. It applies to the health and wellness professional because it is hard to treat a patient in areas that you don't have expertise or knowledge about. I think that the best health professionals are those that have experienced the suggestion for treatment themselves or with someone close to them. Not only does it make the professional more understanding but, they have personal insight about the treatment as well. I think it is very important for the health professional to be developing themselves also. It is difficult for a professional to be a great physician if they haven't grown in all areas of their life. Truly, life is a constant growing experience and we never know everything but, it is important to be working on you each day.

1. Practice the universal Loving Kindness (meditation) exercise on p. 93.
This exercise made me feel great I thinking of others and helping others out. It does calm you epically when you have had too much of a certain person lets you realize there are millions of others who need and would be thankful for your Loving-Kindness.
2. Complete the Integral Assessment discussed in chapter 11 (p.115).
It is very interesting to try and asses yourself there might be a little bias there from me anyway on what I need to work on or don’t need much work on.
3. Describe the exercise and assessment process. What did you discover about yourself? What area have you chosen to be a focus of growth and development? Why? What are some specific exercises or activities that you can implement to foster greater wellness in this area?
Focus your full attention on the four quadrants of the integral map. Depending on your own personal life pick one to focus on this may take days. Aim for a specific level of development you want choose. Also what levels need healing journal writing may help ease this task. I believe I need to concentrate on the psycho spiritual aspect of my life. Phychospiritual is of or pertaining to the relationship between spirituality and the mind. I feel this way because I have not been in touch with this part of me in catholic school in the eighth grade and that is where I left it and it is an essential part of health and wellness. To promote growth in this area I can pray for myself as well as others. I could also meditate on it as well.

In the loving kindness exercise the focus of the meditation was on the physical body getting your self to calm down physically in order to experience the mental aspects of the meditation. Loving-kindness meditation is a mental exercise that individuals can practice everyday this meditative exercise has been demonstrated to enhance wellbeing, relationships, and health to engage in this exercise, individuals sit quietly, usually with their eyes closed, and focus their attention towards their breath for several minutes. Next, they direct this attention towards their heart for a while, before forming an image of someone they love unconditionally, perhaps their child or spouse. Then, these individuals attempt to create the feelings they usually experience towards this person-perhaps feelings of warmth, tenderness, and hope. Next, they learn to direct these feelings and thoughts towards themselves-that is, they feel warmth, tenderness, kindness, and so forth towards themselves. Subsequently, they attempt to extend the same feelings to an increasing breadth of individuals: their friends, their acquaintances, their managers, their rivals, or even strangers. Several other variants of this practice have been applied as well.
In exercise two the Subtle mind exercise, the focus is more on training the mind to develop the ability to experience the more subtle levels of the mind. This is where we experience healing. This is an exercise to help you become more sensitive to energies to amplify and increase your own energies so that you can start to play with these. It basically helps you to engage with your energy self in more direct ways and helps you to become more comfortable sensing energies and becoming aware of your self as an energy based being. I can't say specifically that I experienced any major frustration with the exercises I enjoyed them both I like the loving kindness one better though.

1. Describe your experience. (Did you find it beneficial? Difficult?) Why or Why not? Would you recommend this to others? Why or Why not?
I enjoyed this exercise it made me feel good on the inside. it made me feel happy. I found it very benificial to me personally. It gave me a good feeling I think it even made others happy even strangers. I would recomend this to others but I believe you would have to be in the right state of mind and open minded to get the full effect.
2. What is the concept of “Mental Workout? What does the research indicate are the proven benefits of a Mental Work Out? How can you implement mental workouts to foster your psychological health? The concept of a "mental workout" is training the brain. It is utilizing tools such as meditation, yoga and other brain training activities we have learned so far to help the brain function better. This can even help with concentration, stress, motivation, anxiety and more. I need a mental workout for stress. Stress management starts with identifying the sources of stress in your life. This isn’t as easy as it sounds. Your true sources of stress aren’t always obvious, and it’s all too easy to overlook your own stress-inducing thoughts, feelings, and behavior. You can control your stress levels with relaxation techniques that evoke the body’s relaxation response, a state of restfulness that is the opposite of the stress response. Regularly practicing these techniques will build your physical and emotional resilience, heal your body, and boost your overall feelings of joy. No matter which way you decide to do your personal mental work out it is very important to do one to balance your mind and body and not get overwhelmed.

1. Describe your experience. (Did you find it beneficial? Difficult?) Why or Why not? Would you recommend this to others? Why or Why not? I totally agree with what they said we are not just pieces we are a whole. I have thought for years can do great things for medicine and for all of man kind.
2. What is the concept of “Mental Workout? What does the research indicate are the proven benefits of a Mental Work Out? How can you implement mental workouts to foster your psychological health? An active workout is the best way to develop and maintain an active or alert mind is to: keep using it in as many ways as possible, and expose it to as many different things as possible. You can maintain a healthy mind by doing things like crosswords, Sudoku, chess, backgammon, memory game, Tetris, millionaire quiz, and lots more. You can also add or subtract small numbers see how fast you get your answer.
